About Us
Birdwatch North East first began as Birdwatch Northumbria back in 1994. Initially organising both weekends and day tours on the Northumberland coast, moors and hills. Andrew then rebranded to Birdwatch North East in 2018, since then we have widened our offering and now cover most of the North-East of England. We also offer Ornithological Consultancy services, ID courses, and are involved public engagement for both adults and children.

Our hope is that the passion we have for birds is infectious and we pass it onto our guests. Understanding birds and their habitats is often integral to finding a species.
