Druridge Bay Area - Northumberland , 20 January 2024

Wintering birds in Druridge Bay can be quite spectacular, there will be thousands of Pink-footed Geese back for the winter and wildfowl should be present in good number up and down the coastline. Offshore can be productive too with the chance of Great Northern Diver, whilst Red-throated Diver can be expected. Occasionally Snow Buntings winter in the area, but Twite should be present regardless. Like many tours the itinerary remains flexible to allow guests to take in more unusual visitors, in previous years this includes species like Slavonian Grebe, Hen Harrier, Ross's Goose, and Firecrest to name just a few.
